Thermostat backlight is very dim or flickers but unit otherwise works

Safety: Turn off HVAC power before removing the thermostat.

• Reseat thermostat: Remove and reinstall the thermostat on the wall plate to ensure solid contact.
• Check supply voltage: Measure 24VAC between R and C at the wall plate. If low, address transformer or wiring issues.
• Adjust brightness: In the Lux settings, increase backlight brightness if adjustable.
• Replace thermostat: If flicker or dimness persists with proper voltage, the backlight is failing and the thermostat should be replaced.
