Possible Causes
Incorrect cycle rate or differential settings, Thermostat installed on exterior wall, Slow-responding HVAC system not matched to control algorithm
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required.
- Adjust cycle rate: In the Lux installer menu, set the cycle rate (CPH) appropriate to your system type (e.g., 3 CPH for forced air, 1 CPH for radiant).
- Change differential: Increase or decrease the temperature differential (swing) setting to reduce overshoot.
- Check location: If the thermostat is on an exterior wall or near drafts, consider relocating it to an interior wall.
- Monitor performance: After adjustments, allow 24–48 hours to evaluate changes in comfort.
