Possible Causes
Incorrect sensor type selected in settings (e.g., 10k vs 15k NTC), Corrupted calibration data in firmware, External sensor extension cable too long or wrong gauge causing resistance error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: This fault is usually low-risk but always turn off power before changing wiring.
Steps:
- Check sensor type setting: In the thermostat menu, verify that the configured sensor type (e.g., 10k NTC) matches the actual Meross sensor supplied with the thermostat. Adjust if necessary and reboot the device.
- Remove extension wiring: If you extended the floor sensor cable, temporarily connect the original sensor directly to the thermostat. If E6 clears, the extension cable is adding too much resistance or interference. Use the recommended cable type and length.
- Factory reset: Perform a full reset to restore default calibration. Reconfigure Wi‑Fi and schedules afterward.
- Compare with reference thermometer: Place a reliable thermometer next to the thermostat. If the displayed temperature is off by more than the allowed offset range, the sensor or calibration is faulty.
Resolution: If E6 persists with correct sensor type and direct wiring, replace the thermostat or the sensor (for external sensor models).
