Thermostat cannot be discovered or added in the Meross app during setup.

Phone connected to 5 GHz network instead of 2.4 GHz, Incorrect pairing mode on thermostat, Router blocking multicast or AP isolation enabled
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical hazard; this is a network configuration issue.
Steps:
- Use 2.4 GHz: Connect your smartphone to the same 2.4 GHz network that the thermostat will use. Disable 5 GHz temporarily if your router combines SSIDs.
- Enter pairing mode: Follow the Meross manual to put the thermostat into pairing mode (usually holding a button until the Wi‑Fi icon blinks rapidly).
- Check router settings: Disable AP/client isolation and ensure that multicast and broadcast traffic are allowed on the Wi‑Fi network.
- Reset thermostat: Perform a factory reset and retry the pairing process from scratch.
Resolution: If the thermostat never appears in pairing mode (no blinking Wi‑Fi icon), the Wi‑Fi module or firmware may be faulty and the unit may need replacement.
