Temperature Overshoot / Poor Control Calibration
Thermostat frequently overshoots the set temperature, making the room too warm before turning off.

Possible Causes
Thermostat installed near heat source or in dead air zone, Incorrect cycle rate or hysteresis settings, Slow-response underfloor heating without floor sensor feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No high-voltage work required unless relocating the thermostat.
Steps:
- Check location: Ensure the thermostat is mounted on an interior wall, away from radiators, direct sunlight, and drafts. If installed poorly, relocate according to Meross guidelines.
- Adjust control parameters: In advanced settings, reduce hysteresis or adjust cycle rate (if available) to better match your heating type (radiators vs underfloor).
- Enable floor sensor: For underfloor systems, use the external floor sensor and set the thermostat to Room + Floor mode to prevent floor overheating.
- Use adaptive/learning mode: If the model supports it, enable adaptive control so the thermostat learns the system response and reduces overshoot.
Outcome: If overshoot persists despite correct placement and settings, the internal sensor or control algorithm may be faulty; consider replacing the thermostat.
