How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: This is a software/app issue, not a hardware fault.

  • Enable location services: On your smartphone, enable GPS/location and allow the Netatmo Energy app to access location Always or While using, as recommended.
  • Allow background activity: Disable aggressive battery optimization for the Netatmo app so it can run in the background and update your location.
  • Check home location: In the Netatmo Energy app, verify that your home address and map pin are correctly set.
  • Update app: Install the latest version of the Netatmo Energy app from your app store and restart your phone.

If geolocation still fails on multiple phones, there may be a server‑side issue; contact Netatmo support.
