Possible Causes
ISP outage or router not connected to internet, DNS or firewall blocking Netatmo cloud servers, Misconfigured router (no DHCP or wrong gateway), Temporary Netatmo server outage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: Local thermostat control usually continues even without internet; the issue affects app access and smart schedules.
- Test internet on another device: Use a phone or laptop on the same Wi‑Fi to browse the web. If it fails, reboot your modem and router and contact your ISP if needed.
- Restart Relay and router: Power‑cycle the router and then unplug the Netatmo Relay for 30 seconds. Plug the router back in, wait until it is fully online, then power the Relay.
- Check router settings: Ensure DHCP is enabled and that the Relay is getting an IP address. Disable overly strict firewall or parental control rules that might block outbound connections to Netatmo servers.
- Try a mobile hotspot (advanced): Temporarily connect the Relay to a phone hotspot to confirm the Relay itself can reach the internet. If it works on hotspot but not on your router, the problem is in router configuration.
If other devices have internet but the Relay never reaches the cloud despite correct settings, contact Netatmo support; a firmware or server‑side issue may be present.
