Thermostat Overshoot / Poor Regulation
Room temperature overshoots the setpoint by several degrees before the heating turns off.

Possible Causes
Thermostat installed near heat source, Incorrect boiler cycle length or anticipation settings, Slow‑responding underfloor heating with standard schedule, Stuck Relay contact causing delayed off
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No dangerous voltages are involved in thermostat relocation; boiler wiring should not be touched for this adjustment.
- Check thermostat placement: Move the thermostat away from radiators, direct sunlight, and exterior walls to a central interior wall.
- Adjust settings: In the Netatmo Energy app, review advanced settings such as heating anticipation or cycle length (if available) and select profiles suitable for underfloor heating or radiators.
- Observe Relay behavior: When the setpoint is reached, verify in the app that the call for heat stops. If the boiler continues running long after, the Relay contact may be sticking and should be replaced.
- Fine‑tune schedule: Reduce setpoints slightly before typical overshoot times to compensate for system inertia.
If overshoot persists despite optimal placement and settings, consult a heating technician to check boiler modulation and system balancing.
