Possible Causes
Marginal RF range between thermostat and Relay, RF interference from other devices, Thermostat low battery, Faulty RF module in thermostat or Relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No mains work is required for these steps.
- Replace thermostat batteries: Install fresh alkaline AA batteries to ensure strong transmission power.
- Reduce distance: Move the thermostat closer to the Relay or relocate the Relay to a more central position.
- Minimize interference: Keep the Relay away from Wi‑Fi routers, cordless phone bases, and other RF emitters by at least 30 cm.
- Test proximity: Temporarily place the thermostat next to the Relay. If the link becomes stable, range or interference is the issue; adjust placement permanently.
If dropouts continue even at close range with new batteries, either the thermostat or Relay RF hardware is defective and the affected unit should be replaced.
