Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: The control module is usually near the boiler and may contain mains voltage. Isolate power before opening any covers.
- Check power to control module: Confirm that indicator LEDs on the Ngenic control module are lit. If not, check the boiler’s fused spur or breaker.
- Reduce distance: If possible, temporarily move the thermostat closer to the control module to rule out range issues.
- Re-pair devices: Use the thermostat or app to start pairing mode on the control module (press the pairing button as per Ngenic manual) and re-link the thermostat.
- Power-cycle both units: Turn off power to the control module for 30 seconds, then restore. Restart the thermostat as well.
If E06 remains and the control module has power, the RF radio on either the thermostat or the Ngenic control module may be faulty and require replacement.
