Possible Causes

Faulty Ngenic flow temperature sensor (clip-on or immersion), Poor contact between sensor and pipe, Damaged sensor cable or connector at control module, Incorrect sensor placement on return instead of flow pipe

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power to the boiler and control module. Pipes may be very hot; wear heat-resistant gloves.

  • Locate the flow sensor: Identify the Ngenic flow temperature sensor attached to the flow pipe or inserted into a pocket.
  • Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly clamped to the correct pipe and insulated as recommended so it reads accurately.
  • Inspect cable: Look for cuts, kinks, or crushed sections in the sensor cable. Reseat the connector at the Ngenic control module.
  • Test sensor (advanced): With power off, measure resistance of the sensor and compare to Ngenic’s specified NTC values.

If E08 persists and the sensor is out of specification, replace the Ngenic flow temperature sensor assembly.
