Possible Causes
Loss of connection to NTP/time servers via Ngenic cloud, Incorrect time zone setting in app, Firmware bug in timekeeping, RTC (real-time clock) backup battery failure on thermostat PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required.
- Check internet/cloud status: Ensure the thermostat is online and E01/E02 are not present.
- Verify time zone: In the Ngenic app, confirm the correct region and time zone are selected.
- Manual time set: If supported, set the time and date manually on the thermostat as a temporary workaround.
- Reboot device: Restart the thermostat to force a new time sync attempt.
If E13 persists while the device is online, the internal RTC or firmware may be faulty. Contact Ngenic support for a firmware patch or device replacement.
