How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No hazardous work is required.
- Check hold status: Ensure the thermostat is not in permanent HOLD mode. Switch to RUN or SCHEDULE mode.
- Verify time and day: Correct the clock and day of week in settings so schedules trigger at the right times.
- Review schedule: Edit each period (Wake, Leave, Return, Sleep) to ensure they are enabled and have distinct times and setpoints.
- Update firmware: Install any available firmware updates via the Payne app.
- Factory reset: If schedules still do not run, reset the thermostat and reprogram the schedule. Replace the thermostat if the issue persists.
