- Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Step 3 – Test detection:
- Stand in front of the thermostat and move within the detection range.
- Check if the display wakes or occupancy icon changes.
- Step 4 – Firmware update:
- Update thermostat firmware if occupancy-related fixes are available.
- Step 5 – Replace thermostat if PIR is defective:
- If E7 persists and occupancy is required, replace the Protherm smart thermostat.
