Possible Causes
Incorrect Wi‑Fi password, Router using unsupported frequency band (5 GHz only), Weak Wi‑Fi signal at thermostat location, MAC filtering or firewall blocking the thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No mains work required.
- Check SSID and password: Re-enter the Wi‑Fi password carefully in the app or thermostat. Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz network if required by the model.
- Move router or thermostat: If possible, move the router closer or temporarily bring the thermostat nearer to test signal strength.
- Router settings: Disable MAC filtering or add the thermostat MAC address to the allowed list. Ensure DHCP is enabled.
- Reboot router: Power cycle your router and then retry the Wi‑Fi setup.
If E1 persists, consider using a Wi‑Fi extender or relocating the thermostat to improve signal.
