Possible Causes
Failed thermal actuator on manifold, Air in hydronic loop, Misassigned zone outputs in thermostat or controller, Loose actuator wiring at zone controller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power to the zone controller and boiler/pump before working on actuators.
Steps:
- Identify which thermostat zone corresponds to the cold area and locate its actuator on the manifold.
- Check that the actuator wiring is secure at both the actuator and the Schneider Electric zone controller or thermostat output.
- When the thermostat calls for heat in that zone, feel the actuator; it should warm slightly and open the valve after a few minutes. If it remains cold, replace the actuator.
- Bleed air from the hydronic loop if radiators or floor circuits are partially air-locked.
- Verify in the controller configuration that the correct output channel is assigned to the thermostat zone.
