Sensi
Pairing / Provisioning Failure
Sensi app cannot discover or connect to the thermostat during setup

Possible Causes
Phone not connected to 2.4 GHz network, Bluetooth or location services disabled (if required by app), Thermostat not in pairing mode, Router isolation settings blocking local discovery
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No HVAC power work is required.
Steps to resolve:
- Confirm phone network: Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network you intend to use for the thermostat.
- Enable permissions: Allow the Sensi app to use Bluetooth and location services if prompted, as some models use these for discovery.
- Put thermostat in pairing mode: Follow the Sensi instructions to enter Wi‑Fi setup or pairing mode on the thermostat. Look for a specific icon or on‑screen prompt.
- Disable AP isolation: In your router settings, turn off client isolation or guest network restrictions that prevent devices from seeing each other on the LAN.
- Retry setup: Close and reopen the Sensi app, then repeat the setup process from the beginning.
When to replace: If the thermostat never broadcasts its setup network or cannot be discovered by any compatible device, the communication module may be defective and the thermostat may need replacement.
