Possible Causes
Permanent hold enabled in Sensi app, Schedule disabled in thermostat settings, Incorrect time or day settings, Firmware bug affecting schedule execution
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required for this issue.
Steps to resolve:
- Check hold status: On the thermostat screen or in the Sensi app, verify whether a permanent or temporary hold is active. Cancel the hold to allow the schedule to resume.
- Verify schedule is enabled: In the Sensi app, open the schedule settings and ensure the schedule is turned ON for the correct days.
- Confirm date and time: Check that the thermostat has the correct time zone, date, and time. Incorrect time can cause schedule events to appear to be ignored.
- Update firmware: If available, update the thermostat firmware through the app to correct any known scheduling bugs.
When to replace: If scheduling remains nonfunctional after resets and firmware updates, there may be an internal software or memory fault. Replacement of the thermostat may be necessary.
