• Use cloud backup: Ensure the thermostat is connected to Wi‑Fi and linked to your Sensi account so schedules and settings can be restored from the cloud.
• Avoid frequent power cycling: Do not rapidly switch the HVAC breaker on and off, as this can stress internal memory.

When to replace: If the thermostat consistently forgets settings after normal outages while other electronics in the home do not, the internal memory is likely failing and the thermostat should be replaced.
