Thermostat mounting plate is loose or thermostat tilts on the wall

• Remove thermostat: Gently pull the Sensi thermostat off the wall plate.
• Secure wall plate: Tighten existing screws. If they spin freely, install appropriate drywall anchors or mount into a wall stud.
• Use trim plate (if provided): Install the Sensi trim plate to cover large wall openings and provide a flat mounting surface.
• Reattach thermostat: Snap the thermostat firmly onto the wall plate, ensuring it is level and stable.

Impact on operation: A loose wall plate can cause intermittent electrical contact and erratic operation. Securing the plate often resolves intermittent faults.
