Initial Pairing / Provisioning Failure
Thermostat cannot be added to Stelpro app or pairing fails repeatedly

Possible Causes
Incorrect Wi-Fi password, Unsupported Wi-Fi band (5 GHz only network), Bluetooth disabled on phone (if used for setup), Thermostat not in pairing mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required.
Steps to resolve pairing issues:
- 1. Verify network: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network if required by your Stelpro model. Some models do not support 5 GHz.
- 2. Check credentials: Carefully re-enter the Wi-Fi password in the Stelpro app. Avoid special characters that may not be supported.
- 3. Enable Bluetooth and location: On your phone, enable Bluetooth and location services, as some setup processes require them.
- 4. Reset thermostat network settings: Put the thermostat into Wi-Fi setup mode or perform a network reset as described in the manual.
- 5. Move closer to router: During pairing, ensure the thermostat is within strong range of the router.
- 6. Try another device: Attempt setup from a different smartphone or tablet to rule out app/device-specific issues.
- 7. Factory reset: As a last resort, perform a full factory reset on the thermostat and retry pairing.
Note: If pairing still fails, contact Stelpro support with your router model and thermostat details.
