Tado Smart Radiator Thermostat drains batteries very quickly (every few weeks).

• Use high-quality batteries: Install premium alkaline AA batteries. Avoid rechargeable NiMH cells.
• Optimize schedule: Reduce the number of large temperature swings in the Smart Schedule to minimize valve movements.
• Improve RF signal: Move the Internet Bridge closer or reduce obstacles so the radiator head does not need to retry communications frequently.
• Check for mechanical resistance: Ensure the valve pin moves freely; a stiff valve can cause the motor to draw more current.
• If drain persists: The internal electronics may be faulty; consider replacing the Smart Radiator Thermostat.
