Tado Smart Thermostat buttons or touch areas do not respond or respond intermittently.

Safety first: Do not open the thermostat casing; only clean the exterior.

• Clean surface: Gently wipe the thermostat front with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then dry it. Avoid solvents or excessive moisture.
• Check for physical damage: Inspect for cracks or signs of impact that may have damaged the internal button mechanism.
• Use app as workaround: Control temperature and settings via the Tado app while planning a replacement of the thermostat if physical buttons remain unresponsive.
