Thermostat randomly switches between Heat and Cool modes without user input

Steps:

• Disable auto-changeover: In the Kasa app, switch from AUTO mode to manual HEAT or COOL to prevent automatic mode changes.
• Increase deadband: If auto mode is needed, increase the temperature deadband between heating and cooling setpoints.
• Check automations: Review Kasa scenes and third-party routines that might be changing modes automatically.
• Verify sensor accuracy: Ensure the thermostat temperature reading is accurate; incorrect readings can trigger unwanted mode changes.
• Firmware update / reset: Update firmware and, if needed, perform a factory reset to clear logic errors.
