How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: This is usually a configuration issue.
- Step 1 – Check for holds: On the thermostat, verify if a temporary or permanent hold is active and clear it if necessary.
- Step 2 – Review schedule: Go through each time period in the schedule and confirm desired setpoints and modes.
- Step 3 – Check app settings: Ensure that Trane Home / Nexia app schedules match the thermostat and that no conflicting automations are active.
- Step 4 – Disable smart features temporarily: Turn off adaptive recovery, geofencing, or learning features to see if behavior stabilizes.
- Step 5 – Firmware update and reset: Update firmware and, if needed, perform a factory reset and reprogram the schedule.
