vSMART shows a room temperature far from reality (e.g., 5°C or 40°C indoors) without a specific numeric error code.

Steps to correct reading:

• Verify with separate thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer near the thermostat and compare readings.
• Relocate thermostat: If installed near radiators, TVs, direct sunlight, or draughts, move the thermostat to an interior wall about 1.5 m above floor level.
• Reboot and update: Power cycle the thermostat and check for firmware updates via the app.
• Offset adjustment: If the app allows temperature offset, apply a small correction (e.g., ±1–2°C) to match the actual temperature.

If the reading is wildly inaccurate and does not respond to offset or relocation, the internal sensor is likely defective and the thermostat should be replaced.
