Thermostat buttons or dial are stiff or jammed

Safety first: Isolate power before removing the thermostat from the wall.

• Clean exterior: Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust around buttons or dials. Do not use liquids.
• Check for warping: Ensure the front cover is properly clipped and not distorted. Re-seat the cover if necessary.
• Test off the wall: Remove the thermostat from the wall plate and test the buttons. If they move freely off the wall, the wall plate or mounting may be distorting the case.
• Replace unit if still jammed: Internal mechanical faults are not serviceable. Replace the thermostat.
