Possible Causes
Receiver installed in metal enclosure or behind boiler casing, Long distance or multiple solid walls between thermostat and receiver, RF interference from Wi‑Fi routers or cordless phones, Weak RF module in thermostat or receiver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate mains power before moving the receiver or opening its cover.
- Relocate receiver: If possible, mount the receiver outside of metal cupboards and away from large metal objects. Maintain a clear path to the thermostat.
- Reduce distance: Move the thermostat closer to the receiver, at least for testing. If reliability improves, consider a permanent relocation.
- Minimise interference: Keep Wi‑Fi routers, DECT phone bases, and other RF devices at least 1–2 m away from the receiver.
- Re-pair devices: Perform a fresh pairing between thermostat and receiver following Vokera instructions.
- Replace RF components: If dropouts continue despite good placement, replace the Vokera receiver and, if necessary, the thermostat.
