Wiser Room Thermostat shows E01 and cannot connect to the Heat HubR; heating schedule does not run.

Safety first: You normally do not need to open any mains-powered equipment for this fault. If you need to move or power-cycle the Heat HubR, isolate power at the fused spur or consumer unit first.

• Check distance and obstacles: Ensure the Wiser Room Thermostat is within the recommended range of the Heat HubR (typically within the same property, not separated by thick stone walls or metal structures). Try temporarily moving the thermostat closer to the Heat HubR.
• Reduce interference: Keep the thermostat and Heat HubR away from large metal objects, Wi‑Fi routers, cordless phone bases, and microwave ovens. If the Heat HubR is mounted directly on a metal backplate or metal trunking, RF range may be reduced.
• Reboot devices: Turn off power to the Heat HubR for 30 seconds, then restore power. Remove a battery from the room thermostat for 10 seconds, refit it, and allow the thermostat to restart.
• Re-pair the thermostat: In the Wiser app, go to Settings > Add Device and follow the instructions to re-add the room thermostat. If it is already listed, remove it from the system and then add it again.
• Check RF signal in app: In the Wiser app device details, check the signal strength for the thermostat. If it is consistently poor, consider relocating the Heat HubR (qualified electrician only) or adding a Wiser Smart Plug as a range extender.

If the thermostat will not pair at all when close to the Heat HubR, the RF module in either the Heat HubR or the thermostat may be faulty and the affected unit may need replacement.
