Possible Causes
Out-of-range NTC sensor, Firmware calibration data corruption, PCB damage near sensor, Extreme ambient temperature beyond design limits
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No mains work required.
- Reboot thermostat: Remove batteries for 30 seconds and reinstall.
- Check ambient conditions: Ensure the thermostat is not installed in an unheated loft, conservatory, or directly above a heat source where temperatures may exceed specified limits.
- Compare with reference thermometer: Place a reliable thermometer next to the thermostat and compare readings. If the difference is large and E07 is present, the internal sensor is likely faulty.
- Reset via app (if option exists): Some firmware versions allow a temperature offset in the app. If E07 persists despite offset adjustment, hardware replacement is needed.
Persistent E07 indicates a defective sensor or calibration data that cannot be corrected in the field. Replace the thermostat.
