Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No mains work required beyond possibly power-cycling the Heat HubR.
- Update Heat HubR firmware: Connect the Wiser system to the internet and check for updates in the Wiser app. Allow any available firmware updates to complete.
- Power-cycle Heat HubR: Isolate power at the fused spur, wait 30 seconds, then restore power. Wait for the LEDs to stabilise.
- Factory reset thermostat: Perform a factory reset on the thermostat and attempt pairing again via the app.
- Check model compatibility: Confirm that the thermostat model is officially supported by your specific Wiser by Drayton Heat HubR generation.
If E08 remains after updates and resets, the thermostat or Heat HubR may have incompatible hardware or a firmware fault. Contact Drayton support or replace the incompatible component.
