Possible Causes

Thermostat located at edge of RF range, Heavy RF interference from other 2.4 GHz devices, Metal stud walls or foil-backed insulation blocking signal, Weak RF output from thermostat or Heat HubR

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal mains work required.

  • Relocate thermostat: Temporarily move the thermostat closer to the Heat HubR and see if E10 clears. If it does, choose a permanent location with fewer obstructions.
  • Reduce interference: Move Wi‑Fi routers, baby monitors, and cordless phone bases away from the Heat HubR and thermostat if possible.
  • Use Wiser Smart Plug as repeater: Install a Wiser Smart Plug roughly midway between the Heat HubR and the thermostat to act as a Zigbee range extender.
  • Check Heat HubR mounting: If the Heat HubR is mounted in a metal enclosure or cupboard, consider relocating it (qualified electrician only) to improve RF coverage.

If E10 persists even at close range, the RF module in the thermostat or Heat HubR may be weak or faulty and the affected unit may require replacement.
