How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No mains work required.
- Ensure strong signal: Move the thermostat closer to the Heat HubR and ensure no major RF interference sources are nearby.
- Fit fresh batteries: Install new alkaline batteries to ensure stable power.
- Retry update: In the Wiser app, check for firmware updates and allow the process to complete without interrupting power or RF connection.
- Wait for recovery: Some devices will automatically roll back to the previous firmware after a failed update; leave the thermostat powered for at least 30 minutes.
If E18 persists and the thermostat will not operate normally, it may be bricked and require replacement.
