Possible Causes
Failed motor in Wiser Radiator Thermostat, Jammed valve pin on radiator body, Worn gear train inside TRV, Low battery voltage under load
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Radiator thermostats are battery powered and low voltage. Take care when removing from the valve body; hot water may be present in the radiator.
- Check batteries: Replace TRV batteries with new alkaline cells and retry operation.
- Free valve pin: Remove the TRV head from the radiator valve. Gently press the metal pin on the valve body in and out with your thumb or pliers until it moves freely.
- Recalibrate TRV: Refit the TRV head and, in the app, trigger a calibration or fully open/close cycle if available.
If TRV01 persists and the motor does not move even with good batteries and a free valve pin, the TRV head is faulty and should be replaced.
