Possible Causes
Depleted batteries, High friction in valve causing high motor current, Corroded battery contacts, Use of unsuitable battery type
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Low voltage only.
- Replace batteries: Fit new, high-quality alkaline batteries of the recommended size.
- Inspect contacts: Check for corrosion in the battery compartment and clean gently if needed.
- Reduce valve friction: Remove the TRV head and ensure the valve pin moves freely; stiff valves increase motor load and drain batteries faster.
If TRV03 returns quickly after battery replacement and valve pin is free, the TRV may have an internal power fault and should be replaced.
