Possible Causes
Heating relay on Heat HubR welded closed, Boiler wired permanently live bypassing Heat HubR, Motorised valve stuck open, Incorrect wiring in wiring centre
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate mains power before inspecting any wiring or the Heat HubR.
- Check app demand: Confirm in the Wiser app that no rooms are calling for heat and that there is no frost protection or override active.
- Observe boiler when Heat HubR is powered off: Turn off power to the Heat HubR. If the boiler continues to run, the fault is in external wiring or boiler controls, not the Heat HubR.
- Check motorised valves: If using S-plan or Y-plan, check whether a valve is stuck open or its end switch is stuck closed (heating engineer only).
If the boiler only runs when the Heat HubR is powered and no demand is shown in the app, the heating relay may be stuck closed. Replace the Heat HubR.
