Possible Causes
Stuck radiator valve pin, TRV not calibrated correctly, Room not linked to a heat source in app, Boiler demand limited by other zones or minimum run logic
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Radiators may be hot; use caution.
- Check app linkage: In the Wiser app, ensure the room with the TRV is assigned to the correct heating channel and that the channel is enabled.
- Free valve pin: Remove the TRV head and press the valve pin in and out until it moves freely.
- Recalibrate TRV: Refit the TRV and run a calibration cycle if available.
- Check boiler firing: Confirm that at least one zone is creating a boiler demand when the room calls for heat.
If the TRV motor runs but the radiator remains cold and the valve pin is free, the radiator valve body may be blocked or faulty and should be replaced by a heating engineer.
