Possible Causes
Room temperature below frost threshold, Incorrect frost protection settings, Sensor reading too low due to draughts, Thermostat installed in unheated space
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Frost protection is a safety feature to prevent freezing; do not disable it entirely in cold climates.
- Check room temperature: Verify the actual room temperature with a separate thermometer. If genuinely low, the system is working as designed.
- Adjust frost setpoint: In the installer or advanced settings, adjust the frost protection temperature (commonly 5–8°C) to a suitable level.
- Relocate thermostat: If the thermostat is in a very cold or draughty area (e.g. porch, near external door), consider relocating it to a representative room.
- Check for sensor error: If the displayed temperature is clearly wrong, there may be a sensor fault; see sensor‑related entries.
