Thermostat reboots or restarts frequently, especially when heating or cooling turns on.

Safety first: Turn off power to the HVAC system at the breaker before inspecting wiring.

• Tighten all low-voltage connections: At both the furnace control board and Wyze wall plate, tighten the screws or clamps on R and C terminals.
• Inspect thermostat cable: Look for kinks, staples through the cable, or damage where it enters the wall or furnace. Replace the cable if damaged.
• Check transformer load: If a humidifier, zone board, or other accessories share the transformer, consider upgrading to a higher VA transformer or adding a dedicated transformer.
• Measure voltage under load (advanced): Use a multimeter to check R–C voltage while the system is running. If it drops significantly, have a technician evaluate and possibly replace the transformer.
