How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Open the transfer switch or main breaker to isolate the generator from the building. Turn OFF the generator and disconnect the battery.
- Reduce load: Identify and turn off high-demand appliances (HVAC, electric water heater, electric range). Ensure total load is within the kW rating of your A-iPower standby model.
- Inspect building circuits: Have a qualified electrician check for short circuits or ground faults on circuits powered during the fault.
- Check generator main breaker: Inspect the generator's main breaker for signs of overheating or mechanical damage. Cycle it OFF and ON firmly.
- Test with minimal load: Start the generator with all building loads disconnected. If E11 appears with no load, the alternator or breaker may be faulty and requires professional testing.
