Emergency stop button engaged, Open E-stop wiring loop, Faulty E-stop switch, Loose terminal in control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Confirm that the generator is not needed for immediate backup before working on the E-stop circuit.
- Check E-stop button: Locate the red emergency stop button on the generator enclosure or nearby wall box. If it is pressed in, twist or pull (depending on design) to reset it.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the E-stop wiring from the button to the controller. Look for loose terminals, broken wires, or corrosion at connection points.
- Test switch continuity: With power off and using a multimeter, test the E-stop switch for proper open/closed operation according to the wiring diagram.
- Clear code: After correcting the issue, clear E14 on the controller and test automatic start.
- If E14 remains: The controller input or wiring harness may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
