Possible Causes
Emergency stop button engaged, External shutdown circuit open, Faulty emergency stop switch, Wiring harness open between E‑stop and controller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the generator is in OFF mode, battery negative is disconnected if you will touch wiring, and the unit cannot start automatically.
- Check emergency stop button: Locate the red E‑STOP on the Aksa enclosure door or control panel. Turn or pull it to release. Reset the controller and attempt a start.
- Inspect external shutdown loop: Many Aksa standby sets have a remote shutdown input (fire alarm, remote E‑stop). Verify any remote E‑stop stations are reset and that the wiring is intact.
- Check controller inputs: On the Aksa controller I/O terminals, verify the emergency stop / remote stop input is closed using a multimeter. Repair any broken wires or loose terminal screws.
- Test the E‑stop switch: With power isolated, disconnect the E‑stop switch leads and check continuity while pressing/releasing. Replace the switch if it does not change state reliably.
- Clear code and retest: Reconnect wiring, reset the controller, and attempt a manual start. If E01 persists, the controller input may be faulty and professional service is recommended.
