Possible Causes
Low engine oil level, Failed oil pressure switch, Oil pump or pickup problem, Blocked oil filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the generator OFF, wait for the engine to cool, and prevent automatic start. Do not run the engine with suspected low oil pressure.
- Check oil level: Use the dipstick on the Aksa engine. Top up with the manufacturer‑specified oil grade if low. Do not overfill.
- Inspect for leaks: Look around the oil filter, oil pan, drain plug, and rocker cover for fresh oil. Tighten fittings or replace gaskets as needed.
- Check oil filter: If the filter is very old or damaged, replace it with the correct Aksa/engine OEM filter and refill oil.
- Test oil pressure switch: Locate the oil pressure switch on the engine block. With the engine off, disconnect the wire and check continuity to ground. Compare behavior to the engine manual; replace the switch if readings are abnormal.
- Reset and test: Clear the alarm on the controller and attempt a start while monitoring for leaks. If E02 reappears and oil level is correct, have a technician measure actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge—internal engine damage or oil pump failure may be present.
