Possible Causes
Coolant leak in hoses or radiator, Faulty coolant level sensor, Loose radiator cap, Cracked expansion tank
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Let the engine cool fully before opening the cooling system. Wear gloves and eye protection.
- Inspect coolant level: Check the radiator and expansion tank. If low, top up with the correct coolant mix and look for visible leaks.
- Check hoses and clamps: Examine all coolant hoses on the Aksa generator for wet spots, white residue, or cracks. Tighten loose clamps and replace damaged hoses.
- Inspect radiator and cap: Look for coolant stains on the radiator core and around the cap. Replace a damaged cap with the correct pressure rating.
- Test coolant level sensor: Disconnect the sensor on the radiator or expansion tank and check its resistance or switch function per the engine/Aksa manual. Replace if stuck open or shorted.
- Reset and monitor: Clear the E05 alarm and run the generator while monitoring coolant level and temperature. If coolant continues to drop with no external leak, internal engine issues (head gasket) may be present—contact a technician.
