Possible Causes
Fuel restriction, Weak fuel actuator, Incorrect governor gain settings, Mechanical engine problem (low compression)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disable automatic start and avoid extended cranking to prevent starter damage.
- Check fuel filters: Replace clogged primary and secondary fuel filters on the Aksa engine. Prime the system thoroughly.
- Inspect fuel actuator linkage: Ensure the actuator lever moves smoothly from idle to full fuel. Remove any obstructions and check for loose linkages.
- Verify no heavy load is connected: Ensure the automatic transfer switch (ATS) is not forcing load during start. The generator should reach rated speed before taking load.
- Controller parameters: In the Aksa controller, verify rated speed and underspeed thresholds are correct. Only trained personnel should adjust governor PID settings.
- Engine health: If the engine runs but cannot reach speed even with clean fuel supply, internal engine issues may exist. Arrange for compression and injector testing by a technician.
