Possible Causes
No fuel delivery, Faulty fuel solenoid, Weak starter motor, Incorrect start sequence wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the starter to cool between attempts to avoid overheating. Disable automatic mode while troubleshooting.
- Listen during cranking: If the engine spins but does not fire, suspect fuel or compression. If it barely turns, suspect battery or starter.
- Check fuel solenoid: Locate the fuel shutoff solenoid on the injection pump. With key in START/RUN, verify it energizes (clicks and pulls in). Replace if it does not actuate.
- Verify fuel supply: Confirm there is fuel in the tank, filters are not clogged, and lines are not leaking air. Bleed the system if necessary.
- Inspect starter connections: Tighten the heavy cables at the starter and battery. Look for burnt or loose terminals.
- Controller start settings: In the Aksa controller, check the number and duration of crank attempts. If misconfigured, restore to factory defaults (qualified personnel only).
- Further diagnosis: If overcrank persists, have a technician check compression, injectors, and starter current draw.
