Possible Causes
Open or shorted sensor wiring, Failed pressure or temperature sensor, Incorrect sensor type configured, Loose terminal connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disable automatic start and isolate DC power if rewiring is required.
- Identify the sensor: Use the controller event log to determine which sensor (oil pressure, coolant temp, etc.) triggered E21.
- Inspect wiring: Trace the sensor cable from the engine to the controller. Repair any visible damage and tighten terminals.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance or voltage output of the sensor and compare with specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Check configuration: In the Aksa controller, verify the correct sensor type and scaling are selected for that input.
- Clear alarm and test: After repair, reset the controller and run the generator while monitoring sensor readings.
