Generator cranks but does not start; display shows E02 after several attempts.

Safety first: Turn the generator OFF and disconnect the battery negative cable. Work in a well-ventilated area away from open flames or sparks.

• Verify fuel level: Check the fuel tank gauge on your All Power America standby generator. If low or empty, fill with fresh fuel of the correct type (gasoline, LPG, or NG as specified for your model). For gasoline units, avoid fuel older than 30 days.
• Inspect fuel shutoff valve: Locate the manual fuel shutoff valve near the tank or regulator. Ensure it is fully open and that any quick-connect fittings are fully seated.
• Check and replace fuel filter: Find the in-line fuel filter between the tank/regulator and the carburetor or fuel rail. If it looks dirty or restricted, replace it with an OEM-equivalent All Power America fuel filter.
• Test fuel flow: Disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor inlet (or regulator outlet for gaseous fuel). Place the line into a container and briefly crank the engine. You should see a steady flow of fuel. If flow is weak or absent, suspect a clogged line or faulty fuel pump (if equipped).
• Inspect fuel pump (if equipped): Listen for the electric fuel pump clicking or humming when the controller calls for start. If silent and power is present at the pump connector, replace the fuel pump.
• Clear the code: Reconnect the fuel line, reconnect the battery, and attempt a manual start to clear E02.
