Possible Causes
Emergency stop button engaged, Open E-stop wiring loop, Faulty emergency stop switch, Defective controller safety input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Confirm that it is safe to restart the generator and that no maintenance is in progress before resetting any emergency stop devices.
- Check E-stop button: Locate the red emergency stop button on the All Power America generator enclosure. If it is pressed in, twist or pull it to release (depending on design).
- Inspect E-stop wiring: Open the control panel and trace the two wires from the E-stop switch to the controller. Look for breaks, loose terminals, or corrosion. Repair any damaged wiring.
- Test the switch: Disconnect the wires from the E-stop switch and check continuity with a meter. The switch should be closed (continuity) when released and open when pressed. Replace the switch if it does not operate correctly.
- Bypass test (temporary): For diagnostic purposes only, you may temporarily jumper the E-stop input at the controller to confirm the controller will clear E11. Remove the jumper after testing and restore proper safety wiring.
