Possible Causes
Defective control board, Corrupted firmware, Internal power supply failure, Moisture intrusion into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator, disconnect the battery, and ensure the main breaker is open. Avoid static discharge when handling electronic boards.
- Inspect control panel: Open the control panel door and look for signs of water ingress, corrosion, or burned components on the All Power America controller PCB. Dry any moisture and correct enclosure sealing issues.
- Check controller power: Verify that the controller is receiving stable DC supply voltage from the battery and charger. Loose power connections can cause intermittent resets.
- Reset controller: Some models allow a factory reset via the keypad or a reset jumper. Follow the manual to perform a reset and clear E13.
- Replace controller: If E13 persists and all external sensors and wiring are verified good, replace the generator control board with the correct All Power America replacement module.
